Summer learning activity 3.

Hi my name is Taimana I chose the SPCA.


 In my word I think that they save animals and take care of them so they can go back to their owner so the owner are happy and not sad.


 They save more than 4000 k that nice people to take time out of their day to save animals so the animals can live longer without pain and injury.

Fractions

We have been learning about fractions of a set and how to create pictures using fractions. This is a work in progress but it is getting easier. 

Render forest

We have been learning how to create animations using Render forest. I really enjoyed being able to choose my slides. We are going to learn how to use different parts of Render forest. Watch this space! 

Amazon rain forest fires

We have been doing lots of information gathering about the fires burning in Amazon Rain forest. Once we gathering the information we learnt how to create a piece of opinion writing. It was really good to be able to explain how I felt.

Switch zoo

This is my switch zoo animal that we have created on an app. It is a descriptive piece of writing using lots of adjectives.

Alien angles

We have been learning our angles on this game, it tells you to create an angle. There are right angles, acute and obtuse angles. The game is called Alien Angles. This is my best score.

3D toothpics

In pangarau we have been learning about 3D shapes and how to make them. We used blue tac and toothpicks to create our shapes. I made a pyramid and a cube.

Time to create some imagery...

For our writing this term we are learning how to create poems / rotarota or creative paragraphs. We get a new hook each day. Here are some of my pieces of writing. We are especially focusing on imagery and using our senses.

Enemy pie

Enemy Pie Why does the main character dislike Jeremy Ross? He laughs at him when he got him out. Can you make a connection to the main character or Jeremy Ross? Jeremy ross. Why do you think the dad doesn’t tell his son what’s in the pie? It's a normal pie. Why do you think the enemy pie smells so good? Cause it a really pie. Why does Jeremy feel confused when the main character asks him to play? Cause he was mean to him. Why doesn’t the main character want Jeremy to eat the pie? Cause they friends now. What do you think will happen to Jeremy when he eats the pie? He will get sick. Was there anything nasty about the pie? No his dad tricked him. Why do you think the dad called it enemy pie? To make your enemy like you. How did the main character’s feelings about Jeremy change from the beginning to the end of the story? Main character happy angry. Jeremy confused happy.

Ruin

My name is Ruin it is the 29 6 2029. Story I was lost in the future and I was trying to find something but I didn't know what it was. One day my body was taken to a building called haven. So after 1 minute my body went to a titanium box it looked hard to open but I just kick it out and bang it opened. I found an id card it was cracked, broken and not changed so I had to change it up with my electric hand. But at that moment I heard a very noisy plane then I looked around mysteriously but I didn't see anything until it popped up in front of me so I ran for my life like I was going to die but I was going to die. So I jump under a bridge and found a super cool motorbike it looked like it was from the future like 2039. So I hopped on it and tried driving as fast as I could but it wasn't charged. So after 10 minutes of charging the motorbike then they somehow found me under the bridge so I got on the motorbike and drove as fast as I could and then a sign was saying you are leaving in 10 miler meters. So the chase was still happening but then I looked at my gas and it said 10% left in the tank so I speed up so fast it went down to 5%. So the future plane fly in front of me so he started to shot me with missile and torrents so I said in my head should I blow up the future plane your nah I'll just leave it only but I was coming up on a bridge so I jumped of the future motorbike pulled my sword and smashed the future plane in haft. Then after 1 hour of me knocked out I wake up I thought I had blood on my face but I didn't have blood.

It was 2019 and the war has begun the dead has risen from the dead and all of the army soldiers it to them a whole year more of them 1045. There the boss. ,you do not want to see it, so they got ready for more war. Hope they are alive . ,the day I last saw my dad was when he went to kill the boss but they didn't give up in tell they killed the dead. So after a year of trying to kill the dead. But they did not kill the king the king was still alive.
